Garchi, the multi vendor whitelabeling Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) e-commerce solution for local communities, announced today entering its third year with several achievements since its establishment in 2019, plus on surviving the year 2020. This milestone is a major move for Garchi on its mission to digitise local communities’ marketplaces.
Garchi was founded on the spirit of empowering and supporting local communities and businesses by the means of innovative business process and technology. While Garchi started as a homemade food aggregator platform, Garchi has since grown into the multi vendor SaaS solution to adapt with local communities’ needs of simple and robust e-commerce solutions.
“It was tough over the last 3 years but our consistency and never give up policy took us to where we are today,” said Aditya Kadam, co-founder and CEO of Garchi. “Not just failure, but combined with learning from your mistakes paves the path for success. The moment you stop learning, consider from that moment you stop growing”.
This announcement comes in the wake of many recent initiatives and accomplishments of the company in 2020, including:
- The relaunch of the company’s business model, which focuses on attracting local food and beverages sellers into selling online with Garchi.
- The winning of Lancaster University’s Work in Progress and Santander Universities’ Pitch Event and consequent event by the same body, which granted the company with equity free funding of £1,500 in total.
- The shortlisting of the company to represent Lancaster University for Santander Universities Entrepreneurship Awards 2020, which applicable to companies that have already raised funding or investment up to £250,000 and generating revenue, among the four criteria.
“When the pandemic hit at the beginning of 2020, we were scratching our heads in finding ways to adapt in a scalable way. Thankfully, we found a way to make Garchi relevant in the new normal while still retaining the founding spirit of supporting local communities,” said Maharani Hariga, co-founder and CIO of Garchi.
